PODS Extends Relationship with CARITAS

PODS of Richmond and the CARITAS Furniture Bank are pleased to announce that PODS (3021 Vernon Road) will now be a permanent furniture collection site. Furniture can be dropped off Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.
PODS has been an ongoing supporter of the CARITAS Furniture Bank providing 36 PODS at deeply discounted rates for furniture collection in 2009 alone. Most recently PODS has arranged for emergency furniture drives at 7 West End locations to support victims of a Chesterfield Apartment Fire which affected 175 elderly individuals. In 2010 CARITAS and PODS have already made arrangements for POD Furniture Drives at 10 more locations. CARITAS appreciates the ongoing support of PODS in our effort to build a stronger community and ensure that no child has to sleep on the floor.
